UIN Jakarta Islamic History and Civilization Study Program Students Participate in Jakarta City Government Seminar

Jakarta, FAH News Online - A total of ten students from the Islamic History and Civilization (SPI) Study Program at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta took part in the Jakarta City Government History Seminar which was held at the Wayang Museum, Kota Tua, on Saturday (14/6/2025). This activity was carried out to commemorate the 500th anniversary of the city of Jakarta.


Student delegates directly elected by the Head of the Study Program, Dr. Zakiyah Darojat, MA, is here to deepen understanding of the history of Jakarta's development from time to time. This seminar, which took place in the historic area of the Old City, became an important momentum for SPI students to broaden their insight into the dynamics of the history of the capital.


The choice of the Wayang Museum as the seminar location also provides its own historical nuance. This historic building is a silent witness to the long journey of the city of Jakarta, thus further enriching the learning experience of the participants.


Through this activity, students are expected to gain a more comprehensive understanding of Jakarta's historical heritage, as well as increase awareness of the importance of preserving historical values in the context of city development.
