From Competition Stage to a Public Speaking Seminar, Fakkah 2026 Concludes Its Series with Great Enthusiasm

Jakarta, September 24, 2026, FAH Online News — The Fakkah 2026 competition series officially concluded on Thursday (September 24). Organized through a collaboration between HIMLA UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta and HMPS BSA UIN Jakarta, the event concluded with a public speaking seminar, the announcement of the winners, and an awards ceremony.

During the seminar session, participants received insights from an inspiring speaker, Mahbubi, S.Hum., widely known as Bang Bobi. The discussion was closely related to students’ everyday lives, particularly how speaking skills are developed and applied in public spaces. Bang Bobi explained that many things have become easier today, including creating and delivering content through social media. However, he emphasized that truly advanced public speaking skills are not simply about being able to speak well. He illustrated that someone who has reached an advanced level can even take their speaking abilities into the realm of stand-up comedy.

He also discussed people who appear to be good at delivering words of wisdom. According to him, this is relatively easy to do. The real challenge lies in how a person can remain consistent, have the courage to take a position, and take responsibility for the content they present.

The discussion also touched on the use of Arabic on social media. Bang Bobi emphasized that many people may appear highly articulate when communicating through digital media. However, this ability becomes more evident when someone actually engages directly with the public and is capable of communicating face-to-face.

The seminar continued with a question-and-answer session between the participants and the speaker. Participants were given the opportunity to ask questions directly, making the atmosphere more interactive and engaging.

Following the seminar, Dr. Cahya Buana, M.A., as the Musyrifah of HIMLA, delivered remarks. She expressed her hope that HIMLA could serve as a place where students continue to learn and gain valuable experiences. She also hoped that HIMLA would continue to grow and develop in the future while providing meaningful benefits to many people.

The event then continued with a ghina arabiyah performance, enthusiastically joined by the participants, before moving on to the announcement of the winners. One by one, the winners from each competition category were called to the stage to receive their awards.

One of the winners, Muna Patihatul Munawwaroh from Abqary – UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, won second place in the Arabic Debate competition. She admitted that she experienced a mixture of emotions throughout the competition, from nervousness and excitement to pride. According to Muna, the most memorable moment was when she and her team managed to advance to the final round. She said that they had not initially expected to make it that far.

“At first, we did not expect to make it to the final round. So, this achievement became a very memorable experience for us as a team.”

Muna hopes that Fakkah will continue to be held in the future with more participants and that each series of activities can be organized even better.

The event concluded with a group photo involving all participants and committee members, followed by a prayer and the official closing ceremony. More than simply seeking winners, the event left participants with many memorable experiences. From the courage to step onto the stage and the experiences gained throughout the competition to meeting new people, every part of the series became an equally valuable experience.

“Daring to try is the beginning of an experience. The moment may be brief, but the lessons and courage gained can stay with us long after the competition is over.”
