South Tangerang, FAH Online News – Entering its second day, the Faculty of Adab and Humanities (FAH) of UIN Jakarta officially concluded the entire series of activities of the 2nd International Conference on Digital Humanities 2026 (2nd ICoDH). The event was held in the Meeting Room on the second floor of the Faculty of Adab and Humanities Building on Thursday, September 10, 2026.

This activity marked the second chapter of the 2nd International Conference on Digital Humanities 2026, featuring paper presentation and discussion sessions prepared by invited participants of the 2nd ICoDH.

The event began at 7:00 a.m. and was conducted online. It was attended by the Vice Dean for Student Affairs and Cooperation, Prof. Usep Abdul Matin, S.Ag., M.A., Ph.D., members of the organizing committee, and all participants of the 2nd ICoDH.

The second day of the conference officially opened with welcoming remarks from the Masters of Ceremony, Hasna Aliya and Salman Alfarizi, students of UIN Jakarta, who guided participants through the opening of the day's program.

Moving to the main agenda, the second day consisted of three paper presentation sessions. The first session focused on Arabic Language and Literature and Translation Studies. The second session covered English Literature, Islamic History and Civilization, Library Science, Arts, and Islamic Psychology. The third session focused on Arabic Translation, the digitalization of the Arabic language and Islam, Language Education, Digital Archiving, and Manuscripts.

Paper Presentation Session 1: Arabic Language and Literature and Translation Studies

The first presentation session focused on papers in the fields of Arabic Language and Literature and Translation Studies. Held from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m., the session was moderated by Elfe Oktaviyani, M.Hum.

This session was divided into nine thematic paper presentation groups:

1. Arabic Linguistics, moderated by Muhammad Ihsan;

2. Arabic Translation, moderated by Nguliyatun Nuriyah, S.Hum.;

3. Arabic Translation II, moderated by Risda Aurora;

4. Islamic Civilization, moderated by Siti Jumaroh, S.Hum.;

5. Islamic Civilization II, moderated by Hotmar Simanjuntak, S.Hum.;

6. Digital Humanities, moderated by Nurul Azizah, M.Hum.;

7. Arabic and English Literature, moderated by Amelda Arianti, S.Hum.;

8. Literary Analysis, moderated by Maria Ulfa, M.A., M.Hum.; and

9. Linguistics, moderated by Nurul Aini, M.Pd.

Paper Presentation Session 2: English Literature, Islamic History and Civilization, Library Science, Arts, and Islamic Psychology

The conference continued with paper discussions in the fields of English Literature, Islamic History and Civilization, Library and Information Science, Arts, and Islamic Psychology. The session was held from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. and moderated by Muhammad Irfan Zamzami, M.Hum., Ph.D.

The second session consisted of nine thematic discussion groups:

1. Linguistics, moderated by Tuty Handayani, M.A.;

2. Library and Information Science, moderated by Irfan Zamzami, M.Hum., Ph.D.;

3. Arabic Translation, moderated by Amelda Arianti, S.Hum.;

4. Arabic Translation, moderated by Nur Dina Aslamiyah, S.Hum.;

5. Translation Studies, moderated by Elfe Oktaviyani, M.Hum.;

6. Arabic Computational Linguistics, moderated by Yola Dewi Saputri;

7. Media Archiving and Literacy, moderated by Maezza Farihah Putrizauri;

8. Heritage and Sustainability, moderated by Khilda Aqilah Sepiani; and

9. History and Civilization, moderated by Leonardo Bumi Putera.

Paper Presentation Session 3: Arabic Translation, Digitalization of Arabic Language and Islam, Language Education, Digital Archiving, and Manuscripts

The final presentation session featured paper discussions on Arabic Translation, the digitalization of the Arabic language and Islam, Language Education, Digital Archiving, and Manuscripts. The session was held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. and moderated by Nurul Azizah, M.Hum.

The closing session was divided into four thematic paper discussion groups:

1. Arabic Translation, moderated by Muhammad Yusuf Ghozin;

2. Arabic Language and the Digitalization of Islam, moderated by Nina Farlina, M.Hum.;

3. Language Education, moderated by Dr. Agus Suriadi, S.Pd., M.Hum.; and

4. Digital Archiving and Manuscripts, moderated by Umi Kulsum, M.Hum.

The entire series of events concluded with closing remarks from the Vice Dean for Student Affairs and Cooperation, Prof. Usep Abdul Matin, S.Ag., M.A., Ph.D., followed by a joint prayer led by Muhammad Aslam Nurdin, a student of UIN Jakarta.

At the conclusion of the event, all participants of the 2nd ICoDH joined in singing the national song Padamu Negeri. Through the successful implementation of this conference, FAH UIN Jakarta is expected to continue contributing to the international research and academic community.

The conference is also expected to motivate students to actively contribute their ideas, works, and expertise to the fields of research and digitalization.
